Home of Sporting Weston FC and Sporting Weston JFC

Sporting Weston F.C. is a very popular senior and junior football club based in Weston-super-Mare (Kewstoke to be exact) with very strong links to the local community. Many club members are employed by local businesses, local authorities & charities.

The football club was inaugurated in in 1998 in the Weston Sunday League as a way for a group of friends to play football together. Two of these friends are still at the club – First Team Manager Adam Palmer & Secretary & player Gary Booth.

Determination & subsequent on-field success has seen the team progress from a Sunday league team, to now having a 1st team, a Reserve Team & a Colts team competing in Weston & District League Division. The Colts team is used to support the progress of young players & the transition from Junior Football into Senior Football. The Veterans Team plays in the Somerset FA Legends League.

From 2022 onwards the club now also has a junior football club set up that includes 7 age groups

2023 saw the addition of a ladies football team, The Sporting Vixens, with 3 squads.

We are very proud of our achievements & the hard work of a lot of people connected to the club which has led to our on-field success for all our teams.

SPORTING FEST

Every year in August Sporting Weston runs an event on a Saturday, called “Sporting Fest”. It’s a family friendly festival of live music, food, and local bars running popup pubs.

Sporting Fest helps support the club financially whist creating an amazing day out for all the family. Tickets are available from here

Statement from the Club Chairman

Firstly, I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to all visitors to Sporting Weston F.C website.
Since moving to Weston Super-Mare 5 years ago with my family, and the need to find a football club for my 3 sons, I can truly say, that I was and continue to be delighted that we found Sporting Weston F.C.

The welcome my sons received, from not only the coaches and managers, but all of the players too, was refreshing and what makes and continues to make Sporting Weston a truly unique football club.

It’s been a pleasure to see the football club grow and gain success in both league and cup competitions. The style and brand of football has been a huge factor in this, and the quality of both the players and football played continues to develop each season.

This season 2022/23, the club have added new teams to our club, with junior and youth teams joining us, as we look to the future and develop these young players who will be able to progress through the club and build long term friendships with each other.

Our club welcomes all players of all abilities, as it’s our belief that everyone should be able to participate in football and be able to train and play in a safe and fun environment, and whether we win, lose or draw, it’s about the team and having fun.
